BYD YUAN UP is the first A0-class all-electric compact SUV of its all-electric e-Platform 3.0, with a range of up to 401 km and the ability to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in as little as 7.9 seconds. BYD is offering exterior color options for the Yuan Up Electric SUV, including green, white, pink and gray in an attempt to cater to the preferences of a younger demographic.
Its entry-level version is powered by a 32-kWh blade battery that provides a CLTC range of 301 kilometers.
The other two versions both carry blade batteries with a capacity of 45.12-kWh and both have a CLTC range of 401 kilometers. Recharging the batteries at a fast charger from 30 to 80% state-of-charge takes about 30 minutes.
The entry-level one is equipped with a 32-kilowatt-hour battery for up to 187 miles (301 km) of CLTC range (it’s an optimistic test cycle). The peak power output is 70 kilowatts, while the peak torque is 180 Nm. That’s enough to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in about 12 seconds.
